The quality and integrity of Perissos wines are
evident in the number of awards the vineyard
has received, most recently at the San Francisco
Chronicle 2019 Wine Competition, the largest
wine competition in the country. There, the vine-
yard took home a Best of Class Award for its 2017
Racker’s Blend, giving it a total of five Best of Class
awards from this prestigious competition. In the
2020 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wine
Competition, the winery earned a Double Gold
and Reserve Texas Class Champion for its 2017
Mourvèdre, a Gold for the 2018 Reserve Roussanne
and a Gold for the 2017 Estate Aglianico.

Perissos Vineyards rests in the heart of the Texas
Hill Country AVA, the second largest AVA in the
U.S. and the largest in Texas. The tasting room,
opened in 2009, is an inviting Hill Country-rustic
spot nestled among the fermenting tanks overlook-
ing the vineyards. The tasting room offers three
distinct experiences: a conventional, casual tasting
that consists of six wines; a tour and tasting, which
includes an educational, personal tour of the vine-
yard, wine cellar and tasting room; and a farm-to-
glass sensory experience, which offers the highest Dry Material Spreaders
level of attention, knowledge and “sensory blasting
fun!”

Perissos, like other Texas wineries in the Texas Hill
Country AVA, is rising to the challenge of growing
grapes in the state and producing top quality wines.
Other vineyards in the AVA, such as Fall Creek
Vineyards and Bending Branch Winery, are gaining Custom Sizes & Shapes
attention nationwide with their estate-grown vine-
